'He did have a little teddy bear': Hamish Blake recalls hilarious airport run-in with 'Mr. Bean'
Hamish Blake definitely wasn't expecting to run into a comedy legend at the airport.
Which is lucky, because he didn't really.
But on the latest episode of the Hamish & Andy podcast, the LEGO Masters host explained his hilarious airport experience with a man whose name he definitely recognised.
"We don't laugh at names anymore... I understand the rule," Hamish began. "So imagine my surprise when against all odds and against my best wishes, I did laugh at a name the other day and I wasn't expecting to laugh at a name.
"I didn't laugh loud but it got a 'heh'," Hamish said, imitating a small chuckle.

Hamish was in an airport line with wife Zoë Foster-Blake and their children when "a very professional man" in front of them completed his check-in.
He said the man did not have a name that you would normally "look at twice", but when the staff handed him his boarding pass Hamish found it very, very funny.
"They go 'there you go, Mr. Bean'," Hamish explained, causing both him and Andy to erupt into hysterics.
Andy asked if the man spoke or just mumbled like the famous Rowan Atkinson character.

"He did have a little teddy bear," Hamish joked.
"I'm like, so this guy's Mr. Bean, he's put up with this his whole life. Then I felt bad because I'm like, if he sees me laugh he knows what I'm laughing at.
"He knows he's Mr. Bean."
Hamish went to share the funny moment with wife Zoë, but the humour definitely did not land.
"I'm like 'hey Zo' – she's got kids, bags – 'I don't know what his first name is but his last name's Bean'. She's like, 'yes?'
He explained the joke, only to get "crickets".

And even though it was just one of them laughing at the situation, luckily Hamish was able to hide his reaction from the man.
"I think I got away with it," he said.
