And it seems the night brought back some memories.

Speaking to 2DAY FM's Hughesy, Ed & Erin this morning, Andy said that last time he got tickets to Taylor's concert, he didn't exactly go – because of Bec.

"Do you know the funniest thing about being at the concert," he began. "In about 2016 when Taylor was out, I got tickets for Bec and I... and then we broke up."

Andy and Bec were only briefly separated at the time after they started dating in early 2015.

"Bec's a much bigger fan than I am, so I gave Bec the tickets," he revealed to the hosts.

Andy recalled that at the time someone sent him a video of Bec singing along at the concert to Taylor's lyrics, "We are never, ever getting back together".

"And so when that song came back on eight years later, I looked across to [Bec] and said: 'We are actually'," he laughed.

Speaking on air, Andy also revealed that he's met Taylor Swift five times, he's even performed with the superstar.

"We first had her on the radio show, she was there with her mum and just an acoustic guitar," he said of his radio days with Hamish Blake.

"I reckon she was 19, she played 'Love Story' and her mum sat outside," he recalled.

The megastar then made an appearance on Hamish and Andy's hit show Gap Year during the show's first season.

"We sung a song about chaperone dads with her," Andy began.

"The idea was Hamish and I were going to sing the verses and then she'd sing the chorus. As soon as I started playing the guitar she just started singing and making up a verse which was much better than ours.

"It kind of saved the segment to be honest," he laughed.

While Andy was one of the lucky ones to nab tickets to Taylor's sold-out tour, it was his girlfriend's happiness that truly made his night special.

The star shared a string of photos and videos from the concert last week that in a twist of fate, included a 'chaperone dads' reference.

"Taylor was amazing but watching just how happy Bec was being there was my favourite part of the night," he captioned the snaps.

"Bec shared that feeling with 95,000 others. The other 1,000 'chaperone dads' were treated to an epic performance so also fairly content 😌."
