Exclusive: Aussie Golden Bachelor Bear Myrden makes first public appearance – but nobody expected this to come out of his mouth
EXCLUSIVE: Australia has laid eyes on their first Golden Bachelor Bear, but they got to meet him as he chatted to Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James on the Logies red carpet.
When Bear opened his mouth, viewers heard something they might not have been expecting – a hint of a Canadian accent.

After Bear was announced as the leading man of Australia's very first season of The Golden Bachelor, he made his first public appearance on TV's night of nights with host Samantha Armytage by his side.
Bear stopped by for a chat with 9Honey red carpet hosts and MAFS couple Evelyn and Duncan and revealed what it's like to be the nation's first Golden Bachelor.
"It's overwhelming, it's crazy, it's fun, it's exciting....it's a lot to take in but I'm having a great time," he told them.

Bear also responded to comments that he doesn't look "golden enough" with some fans questioning if was old enough to be the Golden Bachelor.
"I'm Canadian so I've always been saying to people that I've been frozen half my life," he joked.

Later this year, TV viewers will see Bear's heartfelt journey to find a soulmate.
The women he meets will bring a wealth of life experience, having navigated relationships, loss, and laughter.
"Myself and 20 women, what could possible go wrong!?" Bear laughed with Evelyn and Duncan.

Reflecting on the experience Bear admitted, "I was spread a little thin, it was tough at times."
He teased that viewers will be able to expect "a bit of a flirting and romance" but said the hardest part of it all was "having to say no to some of the women".
Bear had some advice for any other Golden Bachelors out there: "There's still hope."
