Will Hans derail Norm and Jess’ big pool plans?

Jess and Norm are determined to create a winning edge for their penthouse – by installing a lap pool that runs the length of their terrace.

The 1.5m x 7.5m pool is a definite in their minds, but they have a few hurdles to jump through before it can get the official go-ahead.

Their plans are a possible game changer but first, they had to win over the building’s engineer… and when Dan and Keith arrived with his verdict, Jess and Norm were supremely nervous.

Dan was smiling, and Norm asked if it was a good or bad smile. “It’s a ‘possibly could win The Block’ smile,” Dan said as Keith announced, “You can do it!”

The pair were absolutely ecstatic. But, of course, there was a kicker. They needed to reinforce the area with steel - and that would need sign off from Hans and Courtney, who are in the apartment below.

After two weeks of keeping their secret weapon a secret, the pair were now forced to reveal their plans. They weren’t exactly hopeful that Courtney and Hans would give them a “yes” to go ahead and install the pool.

“We’ve got more chance of giving birth to piglets,” Jess admitted. “We’ve got every chance of giving birth to piglets, the way you carry on sometimes,” quipped Norm.
