The final terrace verdict: David vs Goliath vs Dave (Franklin)

There hasn’t been a week with a bigger focus on who will win than this one.

All week long it’s been a ‘David and Goliath’ battle, with Apartment 3 declaring they can take down the mighty penthouses.

All SEASON long it’s been a fight between the penthouses over who will take out Terrace Week. First it was a tussle over who got Dave Franklin, then it was arguments over pools and cranes.

And finally, here we are.

As the judges geared up for the Terrace reveals, everyone was exhausted and stressed. This was it – the final piece of their apartments, done.

Kerrie and Spence’s apartment was first to be judged. “The last piece of the jigsaw puzzle,” said Neale Whitaker. Shaynna Blaze thought the room felt like a casual version of their living room and Darren Palmer loved the way they had been consistent with their choice of tables through the apartment, linking the spaces. Neale was miffed the area didn’t have a BBQ but Shaynna reminded him of their incredible kitchen.

“It is spectacular,” Darren said as the judges swooned over the open fire, which they particularly loved because you could see it from inside the apartment too.

They also adored the enormous 12-seater table the girls had custom made, with a BBQ at the head. In fact, they loved the terrace so much they wanted to take a seat at the bar, have a glass of red wine and enjoy the fire – only disappointed the girls hadn’t left them something to sip.

With that reaction, it was clearly a two apartment race. So, in the battle of the terraces, which penthouse would take top honours?

By a single point, Norm and Jess took it out – making them the winners of the David vs Goliath vs Dave Franklin challenge.

“Our first room win!” crowed Jess as the pair broke out into a dance.

They were even more overjoyed when they learned they could keep the $10,000 prize for themselves. “You’ve got no idea what it means to us!” Norm said.
