Judges choice: Bedrooms

Looking back over the past seasons, the judges had pretty clear ideas which rooms they loved – and loathed – and their opinions haven’t changed much over time.
They are united in what makes up a great bedroom – it should be a sanctuary away from the rest of the house and because of its seclusion, it can also be a place you are more bold or adventurous in your design choices.
Which bedrooms did they pick as the best of the Block?
RONNIE AND GEORGIA’S MASTER SUITE – ELSTERNWICK (2017)
Darren Palmer’s pick is Ronnie and Georgia’s master suite. “It’s actually the same layout that I want to do in my own home,” Darren explains. The room was a decadent mix of different textiles and blush pinks, blacks and greys. A TV was hidden in a wall recess and slid out as required, a feature Darren described as “phenomenal,” and said apart from a few final tweaks, it was a room that was almost spot on. “So why didn’t we win?” laughs Georgia when she is told the news. The duo is very proud of the accolade however, and Georgia puts it down to the hallway entrance. “In doing that, we had a point of difference,” she explains.
