The seven steps that led to the photo cheating scandal

Tensions have been bubbling away for weeks and the latest body corporate meeting saw things come to an ugly head. How did it start, what happened next and where will this finish? We recap it all, right here.

1. The Payback
Ronnie and Georgia won the first challenge on The Block, with part of the prize being their ability to reclaim their budget from a fellow Blockhead of their choosing. They chose Elyse and Josh, who they recognised as huge threats. “Wouldn’t expect anything else from a couple like you guys,” Josh said.

5. Poolgate
The 24 hour pause on Josh’s request just led to one big no from Ronnie. This developed into a full-blown argument. Ronnie and Georgia felt it was unfair of Josh and Elyse to move ahead and work outside the normal parameters of the competition. It was soon revealed that they had “planned” ahead (not “cheated” as some Blockheads alleged), as soon as they knew what The Block would involve. “We already know that most of you guys don’t like us already,” Georgia said. The aftermath saw the rest of the couples insisting revenge would be forthcoming. “The family has been split apart,” said Elyse.

7. The iPad Heist
Despite being ripped to shreds in judging during Anything But a Bedroom week, Ronnie and Georgia still came under fire from Elyse and Josh. This time, the accusation was that Georgia had deliberately “stolen” Elyse’s iPad and disturbed her styling in the process. Georgia defended herself by saying she had picked it up in error and accidentally punched the wrong pin in too many times, believing the iPad was hers. Elyse wasn’t convinced and Georgia was baffled.

With so much drama, it was no wonder things exploded during the third body corporate.
