But despite having so much cash in the bank, they're still continuing on their risky plan for a dining room without a dining table.

Their kitchen bench is now their official dining space, and while it could pay off come judging, it could also be a complete disaster.

In House 3 Daniel and Jade have gone to visit the name we've heard a million times since Kitchen Week kicked off: Christian Cole. They're checking in to see how their custom dining table is coming along.

Back on site and the drama between Harry and Foreman Keith is far from over.

After the clash on the way to the Domain challenge, where Keith told Harry he'd be getting a $2,000 bill thanks to his plumber ripping out the storm water drains, round two is about to kick off.

"You automatically assumed that my plumber did the wrong thing," says Harry.

"He did, you're going to get a bill of $2,000," Keith fires back.

"Mate, I'm not paying for it," says Harry.

"Unfortunately, you are," replies Keith.

"You can pay for it yourself, Keith," Harry snaps back.

Over in House 4, Luke is turning The Block into a cooking show because it's Jasmin's birthday and he's treating her to breakfast in bed.

While he delivers the glorious meal, she turns around with a gift for him: a to-do list. Luke is "thrilled: about it.

The girls surprise Jasmin with cake and flowers, but it's a phone call from home that really makes her day. Lola sings 'Happy Birthday' to Jasmin, who fights back tears during the sweet moment.

"It was beautiful," Jasmin says.

Jimmy and Tam are breezing though this week — their room is nearly complete. But word is spreading about their lack of dining table.

"Someone deleted their dining room," says Jade.

"I don't know how you don't have a dining room in a five-bedroom home," says Harry.

Shelley Craft is here for her walk-arounds and starts in House 4. She worries the all-white lounge Jasmin's planning, which will look spectacular but isn't necessarily family-friendly.

Over in House 2 Shelley is excited, noting the tricky layout the teams are working with this week.

Next door in House 3 Shelley heads straight for the curved wall. The wall has some serious wow factor, but she also loves what their dining room table will bring.

Meanwhile, there's more drama kicking off in House 1.

Foreman Dan is fuming — not only is there an issue with the fireplace after Harry did some work on it himself, they need scaffolding to paint their void, which can't be bought in now.

"I got a big ladder, I'll do it," says Harry.

"We can't work off of an extension ladder," responds Foreman Dan.

When Harry says, "I'll sort it out," Foreman Dan isn't happy. The answer isn't good enough when safety is an issue.

Foreman Dan then slams Harry's project management.

"We get pulled off left, right and centre," snaps Harry. "If I'm not here to resolve issues that happen and we're doing a challenge it's too hard. I cannot be in three places at once."

"I've got eight other contestants who can do it. All I'm hearing is excuses," says Dan. His solution to the scaffolding issue isn't something Harry wants to hear.

"Then I'm walking off The Block," Harry threatens.

"I've had enough," he mutters under his breath as he storms off… to sit in his car.

Harry does return, and it's time for him and Tash to face Scotty and Shelley for the walk-arounds.

Scott offers the help of The Block scaffolders to help with Harry's void issue — but it will come at a price. Despite their budget worries, they accept.

$2,000 for a chair?! Nine

Things are looking great for Jasmin, who is enjoying a bit of retail therapy on her birthday. She's found two occasional chairs for her living room and at $2,000 each they're an investment.

"If you can't have art on the walls you might as well have furniture that has been designed by artists," says Jasmin.

She's not really selling this whole family-friendly home vibe with pieces like this in the living area. But hey, it's your birthday, treat yourself.

Last to get a visit from Scotty and Shelley is House 5.

They walk in to find the room is basically done. Jimmy is having a cheeky nap on the couch. Shelley "loves" the no dining table idea, but Scotty is not sold.

If the pair do finish tonight it'll be the fastest finish in Block history. So, Scotty says if they can get it done, the pair can come over for a barbeque at his joint on Saturday.

As the day ends the teams gather in House 4 to celebrate Jasmin's birthday — and she's loving life.

Meanwhile, House 1 is struggling to paint.

Oh, and in House 5 Jimmy and Tam are putting the finishing touches on their room — on a Friday night.

"It's a big record," says Jimmy.

"No one has ever finished a room two days before Room Reveal," adds Tam.
