Every contestant had a different idea of what they wanted to achieve; from a self-contained unit, to a full-blown Pilates studio (we're looking at you, Leah and Ash).

Ahead of Sunday's huge Room Reveals, we've taken a look back at the week that was on The Block – and boy, was it a big one.

Open for Inspections

After the mammoth big Room Reveals a night earlier the teams finally got a chance to take a peek at each other's rooms during Monday's episode.

Kristy and Brett and Leah and Ash all reserved their harshest feedback for House 4's efforts… like they didn't have the week from hell and come dead last.

Mood. Nine

"This is done horribly," Brett declared of Steph and Gian's room. He even brought along a spirit level. "If I bought this house for four million, I'd be spewing."

Take a look at all that action in the video below.

A cheating scandal erupts

Early on in the week, the teams were still absolutely spewing after Steph's dad came around to give them a helping hand a few days' prior.

So what do to in that situation? Oh right, call a body corporate!

The teams gathered and Ash immediately pointed out the challenges he had faced getting people inducted.

The same rules hadn't seemed to apply to Steph's dad. "All of a sudden, you've got someone doing work that's not inducted," he said, quoting The Block rules.

See the moment in the video below.

Kyle later burst out in rage as Leah continued her rampage at Steph and Gian.

"You're not letting anyone else explain!" he said, which didn't go down well with Leah.

Block legends return

We also had a pop-in visit from Block legend Danny Wallis, who visited Kyle and Kristie to celebrate their big win. Lovely!

Steph also got the chance to meet Block architect, Julian Brenchley. After a horrific few days of struggling with renovations, she discovered her original home was ALSO owned by an architect, who designed and built the space.

Steph was utterly elated, and it was a conversation that completely changed her mindset on The Block.

Trouble for House 5

Meanwhile, Foreman Dan was furious with some of the work going on at Eliza and Liberty's home.

"It's harder to get wrong than right," he said, pointing out gaps and unaligned walls. "I'm alarmed."

Eliza later tried to find out if her waterproofer was single, so it's clear she had got her priorities in order.

Ironing out the confrontation

After the tense body corporate, Leah and Kyle finally had it out with each other in an attempt to make amends.

"I just wanted everyone to have a chance to have an opinion," Kyle explained as they came face-to-face.

He added that he didn't want Steph and Gian in House 4 – the focus of the body corp – to feel blindsided.

"...I just don't want the tension to target Steph and Gian."

They made up, but privately Kyle said: "Leah and I aren't going to be best buddies, we're different personalities."

However, he appreciated the fact Leah approached him directly to sort things out. "I think I overreact," Leah mused. "Yeah, that's a problem... I am not chill!"

Scott and Shelley's big news

During the hosts' highly anticipates walkarounds, Scott and Shelley delivered some very exciting news to the Blockheads.

Not only would the week's winner get $10,000, but they'd also get a $20,000 Kinsman wardrobe upgrade for use in a future week.

Shelley was also sporting a $20,000 handbag – another prize for the winner of the week. How about that!

Kristy and Brett's big barnie

Over in House 2, Kristy and Brett had blazing row about painting.

They clashed about how best to tackle the mammoth task, and how much prep was required.

When Kristy eventually left to talk to Leah and Ash, Brett vented to the cameraman. "I love her… she's so hard to deal with sometimes."

He says even more things, and then gets busted by Kristy in the process. Watch that awkward moment in the video below.

We then had an epic challenge with Scotty Cam, where he asked them all to cook him a perfect steak. The hilarious moment was captured in the video just below.
