Coachella is fast approaching and although Lady Gaga replacing Beyoncé as the headliner is making news this week, something else has been grabbing the attention when it comes to the festival.

Doug Aitken has unveiled his ‘Mirage House' as part of an outdoor exhibition of art installations across the Coachella Valley. The mirrored house takes design inspiration from the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, and his influence in American west design.

The incredible house is a striking presence in Coachella valley, with the expansive desert landscape reflecting on the exterior of the home. The Mirage House plays with your understanding of depth perception, sense of space, and due to the mirrored angles of the exterior, it’s also reminiscent of a kaleidoscope. To see more images, check out Design Boom.
