On Sunday night's episode of Married At First Sight, Troy Delmege married Ashley Irwin. While some might question the groom (he wanted a 'barbie doll' bride), the ceremony location itself was a rock-solid choice.

The location for the marriage was at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove, on the Gold Coast.

The award-winning Wedding Chapel houses an impressive floor-to-ceiling glass façade that overlooks the picturesque Coomera River.

The new couple's styling was filled with ample tall greenery and white and lavender-coloured floral arrangements.

The non-denominational chapel seats 80 and offers sleek contemporary features with a glass-top registry table centred at the altar, silk flower arrangements throughout, white tiled flooring and soaring atriums.

It makes for quite the stunning backdrop to any wedding ceremony photos. Even awkward weddings!

Newlyweds-to-be can also choose to have the reception at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove with their one acre lagoon beach, as the MAFS couple did.

The resort boasts 4.2 hectares of tropical gardens, elegant fountains and pockets of suntraps, and there are mutliple indoor or outdoor reception locations to choose from.

Married At First Sight Season 5 premieres January 29 on Nine.
