Obamas rumoured to buy this $12m Upper East Side condo

The Obamas are reportedly looking at a luxury condo in Manhattan's Upper East Side, according to Page Six. 

The family have reportedly been seen entering the $12 million two-storey home, which property records show went into contract on September 26. 

Although it's not as grand as the White House, listing details show the designer property comes with five bedrooms, two wood-burning fireplaces, soaring ceilings and stunning views over the East River and Carl Schurz Park. 

The listing calls the 1930s building "one of the most desirable buildings in Manhattan."

The Obama family also own a large home in Washington, DC, which they began renting after leaving the White House. 

They purchased the home for around $10.47 million.
