Myer's marvellous Melbourne Cup marquee

Paris Jackson was the woman of the hour in the Myer pavilion, but it was the department store's design that really shone.

Glowing jewel tones with intriguing colour clashes and unusually shaped pedestals dominated the pavilion. 

But the biggest hit of the day was undoubtedly the free slides for weary feet.

Jennifer Hawkins was perfection in Alex Perry, and her pose showed off the sign to the selfie booth.
