Although you might be tempted to morn the loss of hot days and your bright outdoor setting, stylist Megan Morton says we should look at the cool weather change as an opportunity to embrace muted palettes, board games, and the perfect excuse to create warm and cozy bunker at home.

She's shared a list of things to love about the colder months with Country Road’s Live With Us blog accompanied by beautifully styled shots from Megan's home that are sure to win you over with winter.

"While I am temperature-wise more of a summer person, my preferred palettes seem to be a whole lot more winter-bound. I battle down my hatches with soft greys, charcoals, nickel, zinc and palette-cleansing whites. What I love about my go-to interior palette is that with just a touch of navy (over to you to try at this at home!) or a dash of blush (shown her on our casual but super comfy day bed) the interior can be pushed to a slightly sophisticated or rancho-relaxo atmosphere with just a few additionals. I do hope you enjoy my styled selection here, shot by Aimee Thompson under the arched Playschool windows that I am lucky enough to have in my own home. I might live in Sydney, but with the right radio station on, it feels like I could be in France, especially come winter. Put on the kettle, dust off your board games, surround yourself with gentle gestures and give winter a warm welcome in your space”.
