Man rents out corner of his living room for $100 a week

Sydney is notorious for being one of the most expensive cities in the world to buy property. And leasing is not necessarily a cheaper alternative.
One man has taken advantage of the current housing crisis by listing his living room on Facebook.
The space is complete with a fan, plastic wardrobe, and single mattress that’s been squashed into the corner with room dividers for privacy.
The area has been posted on to the social media platform for the reasonable price of $100 a week.
“20 minutes from the city, 5 minutes from Coles, 1 minute to bus stop” the ad read.
The pictures of the space display a makeshift bedroom, and a foldable wardrobe that looks more like a tent.
A curtain has also been hung as a substitute for a door.

While this may initially seem like a reasonable amount to spend on rent, it doesn’t take long before realizing that the new tenant won't be getting much bang for their buck.
On the plus side, the space is only a 20-minute distance from the city and five minutes from Coles.
We’ll leave you to be the judge of whether this is a space you’d like to call home.
