KitchenAid announces limited edition stand mixer for 100th birthday

No avid home baker stands a chance without an electric mixer, and for the stylish among you, iconic brand KitchenAid is set to release a limited edition stand mixer for their 100^th birthday next year.

The pastel-hued mixer is called Misty Blue, and according to Elle Décor is a riff on one of the very first colours KitchenAid debuted.

Interested cake aficionados better get in quick if you want a bite of history – KitchenAid Australia will only be releasing 1000 of the pretty mixers, which feature a white stainless steel bowl and anniversary decal reading, “1919 – ONE HUNDRED YEARS – 2019.”

The investment piece – it costs an eye-watering $1,299 – also boasts a heritage-inspired logo, so you can really channel your cookie making ancestors.
