Britt and Taz's Kitchen

The kitchen is the heart of the home, so Britt and Taz gave it there all – in hopes of a win!
After winning $175,000 worth of high-end applicances thanks to E&S, they certainly stood a good chance.

"No one's going to come close to our appliances. Kitchen week is ours for the win," said Taz very confidently ahead of reveals.
Let's see if judges Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Marty Fox agreed.
Back at HQ, even host Scott Cam was feeling confident as he said: "You'll be embarrassed if you don't win with all these applicances.
"This kitchen is incredible, it's exactly what we wanted it to be," Taz beamed.
The first thing the judges noticed was the spectacular timber ceiling.
"The richness in that timber is incredible," gushed Shaynna as she looked up.
"How 70s cool is it?" Marty agreed.
Darren noted they bumped the dining table closer to the kitchen to create a thoroughfare.
And he was besotted.
"Everything here in terms of the materials palette, colour palette feels very expensive and luxurious," he praised.
Taz admitted the decision was made late last night before reveals.
They even had to remove two timber panels to move the pendant light at about 10pm!
The judges walked over to the grand island bench.
"This island is continental, it is absolutely immense," said Darren.
At a massive 4.6 metres long, House 3's island bench was by far the biggest on The Block this year.
But did size really matter to the judges?
"It's probably a little too big," Marty critiqued.
"Bingo!" agreed Darren, who thought they could have cut it short by 200mm.
Do you agree?
Marty however, thought the island bench felt very integrated to have the kitchen, living and dining laid out this way.
Britt and Taz are one of three teams that switched up the orientation of their island bench to face the terrace.
A decision that seems to have paid off.
"This is the orientation for me, that I would pick if I was buying one of these houses," said Marty.
Darren said it was "the right configuration" whether you're having a family breakfast or formal meals.
"Having the ability to sit opposite each other and interact with each other actually makes a lot of sense," he praised.
