KFC is making fried chicken-themed Christmas decorations

If you want to take your Christmas tree to the next level, perhaps it’s time to think fried chicken.

KFC New Zealand has released the fast food chain’s latest iteration of merchandise and it might be their best yet: fried chicken-themed Christmas ornaments. What a time to be alive.

The decorations come in the shape of a packet of chips, a bucket of chicken, a chicken wing, a drumstick and head honcho, Colonel Sanders – because nothing says ‘Christmas’ quite like miniature plastic chicken paraphernalia.

The ornaments come packed in a shmick black box – but currently the set is only available to win from early December on the KFC New Zealand Facebook page. Fans are hoping the set will be released for the public to purchase.

KFC marketing director Clark Wilson, said: "We're now making Christmas wishes come true for fans with this exclusive range of #KFChristmas decorations."

This isn’t KFC's first foray into the home décor space, having released a KFC scented candle in New Zealand, a Colonel Sanders phone in China and chicken-scented bath bombs in Japan.

There's a market for everything.
