IKEA is turning a Sydney ferry in to a home...and you can live there

IKEA is known for turning design on its head, and now they're pushing it to the limit once more by kitting out a Sydney ferry as a home.

For one night only, the Sirius ferry will be transformed in to the IKEA Harbour Home. Two competition winners will be able to climb aboard and enjoy an evening with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in their backyard. The cult Swedish homeware store will be catering to their every whim, by decking the place out with products tailored to their taste and needs (and hopefully providing a midnight meatball feast).

IKEA came up with the idea after their annual Home Report found that 36 per cent of people feel the concept of a home goes beyond four walls.
