Ikea's blue bag celebrates 30 years
It’s been used as a poncho, helped endless people move and cart gym gear, and has even been ripped-off by a luxury fashion brand — 30 years after its release, Ikea is celebrating their iconic blue Frakta shopper bag.
In the video above, the Swedish retailer have capitalised on the "Frakta craze", which swept Instagram after the bag was loosely copied by Balenciaga earlier this year, by taking a sentimental look at its everyday uses.
From vests to bum bags, Instagram is full of hilarious DIY Frakta products. The Frakta pocket vest, for example, is made of three Frakta bags is going for $338. A steep increase on the original $1 bag.
