Try The Block's most stylish trend at home

In this week's room reveal where the couples had to do 'anything except a bedroom', stylish bar carts appeared in two of the rooms.

The reno rookies, Hannah and Clint won this week's reveal for the first time with their elegant sitting room, that featured a beautiful bar cart.

Ronnie and Georgia, who have won the most room reveals, but weren't so lucky this time, also had a bar in their dark and dramatic room.

Bar carts are easily available know with everyone from Pottery Barn to Ikea to even Aldi having options for sale, meaning that you can find one to suit your budget.

It’s not a matter of just popping your booze and glassware on top, and calling it a day. There is an art to making your bar cart a style feature of your living or dining room and Pinterest is a great source for tips.

Top Shelf

If you don't have a huge collection of alcohol, you can use the top shelf like you would use a coffee table or mantle and decorate with more homewares décor objects, then keep the bottom level as the bar area. 

Working Bar Cart

If you're into mixology, then you'll need a decent space to create your cocktails. This bar cart is hard working, but still looks great. Opt for an industrial style if you are looking to use the top as a work station. 

Round Carts

A round cart will take up less space, which is ideal for apartment living. You won't be able to fit as much on there but if you stick to the essentials, and some sort of other décor like books (cocktail and wine books would look fab), then you'll achieve an elegant cart. 

Make it a feature

Bar carts are interesting and look so good in a living or dining room, that it's worth making it a real feature with on theme art work. 

Dry bar

If you're not a drinker, you don't have to use a bar cart as a home bar. They make great side tables.
