Hayden is sacked as treasurer by his own wife

Right from the start, Hayden didn’t exactly win the confidence of the other Blockheads in his role as treasurer.

He took a long time to establish what the budget – or even a ballpark budget – actually was.

Once he had shared it with everyone, his own wife usurped him, messaging the teams and telling them the budget had to change to give her bathroom more and the bedrooms less. Hayden was unaware of the message – and the group’s reaction to it – until Jess filled him in.

“Has he negotiated a better rate?” Carla queried as Bianca admitted Hayden still didn’t know how much the electricians were planning on charging whatsoever.

“He’s already got his workers in there, we just have to make sure it’s not too expensive,” said Bianca.

That didn’t sit well with the budget-careful Jess. “That’s ridiculous,” she said. “How can you start working without knowing how much it’s going to cost? It’s going to be a disaster.”

Learning of the impromptu budget meeting, Hayden – the treasurer – was stunned. “Why would they call a budget meeting without me?” he questioned.

“Sara called it,” a producer informed him.

Well, this is awkward.

Hayden decided to make an immediate appearance at the budget meeting. “Hey guys, so… we’re having a meeting without me?” he said as he arrived.

“You’ve resigned!” laughed a confused Jess.

Well, this is even more awkward.

Sara quickly filled him in on the details.

“Oh, were you not aware that you’ve resigned?” asked Jess.

We have now officially reached next level awkward.

“I told him before, he’s just acting stupid,” said Sara but Hayden was fed up.

“I’m not acting stupid, this was your decision, it wasn’t my decision,” he said as everyone cringed. “So, are you running the show? Because I’m the treasurer.”

Sara confirmed she had resigned on behalf of Hayden, explaining he would be too busy to perform the role.

“You’ve just taken away all my power,” Hayden said as everyone quietly watched on. “It’s not a meeting for you to hold, it’s a meeting for me to hold.”
