Good furniture design according to Kanye West

When rapper and controversial tweeter Kanye West visited IKEA's headquarters in Älmhult, Sweden last month there was speculation he was doing a collaboration with the flat pack kings. As it turns out, or at least what we can tell from West's latest tweets, he's been dabbling in designing furnishings for the $20 million Hidden Hills, California home he's just completed renovating with Kim. 

After more than two years and an alleged $4 million renovation, West fancies himself a bit of an expert in home design. Kanye has opinions when it comes what makes the perfect bed, and taking to Twitter he’s detailed his vision. 

Amusingly West revealed his "favourite piece of furniture," to be Royère's polar-bear couch "L'Ours Polaire.” Kanye loves avant-garde French design? Ground breaking. 

Back in 1990s, the French designer’s couches became a household name when a couch and chair fetched $180,000. 

Last week Kanye posted a couple of images on Twitter showing his new sitting room, which featured a cream rug and two chairs facing a large Basquiat artwork -while the arm chairs look similar to the polar-bear pieces, it seems even the celebs have to occasionally settle for furniture looks close to what they’ve set their heart on.
