Exclusive: Tom and Sarah-Jane reflect on their 'surreal' experience on The Block 2022

Over the past three months, Tom and Sarah-Jane have time again proved themselves to be the couple to watch out for come auction day on The Block.

The pair managed to snag six Room Reveal wins throughout the season, blowing away judges Shaynna Blaze, Neale Whitaker and Darren Palmer with their well executed spaces.

As the season nears an end, the pair looked back at their time on the show, and it's a bittersweet moment for the Blockheads. 

"Tom doesn't want to leave, I'm gonna have to drag him out of here," Sarah-Jane exclusively told 9Entertainment in a video, which you can watch above. 

So when teased that he could become a third Foreman, Tom's face instantly lit up. 

"Don't even get him excited like that, he won't sleep tonight," Sarah-Jane warned.

"I've had a great time here, I've been in my absolute element. I love meeting people, I love working and everyone's been so cool," Tom added.

While he might not be an official Foreman, the Blockhead is one step closer to having his dream come true after being awarded his special 'Foreman' vest from Keith and Dan for being the "best contestant" of the season. 

For Tom and Sarah-Jane, the highlight of their whole experience was getting the phone call to say that they're on the show, calling it the "most surreal point" of it all.

While they were stoked to be on the show, it was also tough leaving their one-year-old daughter Cleo behind.

Times got tough when the couple missed her first birthday, but Tom and Sarah-Jane revealed they used their daughter as drive to push through the hardships.

While they might've had several highs on the show, there were also some lows thrown into the mix. Sarah-Jane admitted Living and Dining Week was the hardest space to complete.

"There's a lot of labour and material shortages and that was really felt. We just couldn't seem to get our hands on anything and it was just horrific," Sarah-Jane said.
