Eminem is selling his $6m mansion for half the price

Hip-hop artist Eminem has listed his six-bedroom, nine-and-a-half-bathroom Michigan home for just under $2.5 million ($US2m) – a veritable bargain considering he bought it 14 years ago for more than twice the price.

Sitting on two-and-a-half hectares, the sprawling mansion is just outside of the Metropolitan Detroit area – home of much of the rapper's youth – and was purchased in 2004, a year after Eminem rose to international fame in the Academy Award winning film 8 Mile, for close to $6 million ($US4.7m)

Admittedly, parts of the 1986-built home are now quite dated, but imagine what you could do to the open plan kitchen and dining areas with all that money saved on the asking price!

The property does boast a pretty cool outdoor to lose yourself in though, with a waterfall pool with a spa, a tennis and basketball court, an entertainment cabana, and a guest house overlooking the pool.
