Elyse Knowles ditches swimsuits for overalls on The Block

Used to posing in glamourous swimsuit shoots at exotic destinations, model Knowles has swapped her bikini for dust covered overalls to appear on the 13^th season of 13^th season of .

As one of the first models to make it on Instagram – she now has 621,000 followers –  Knowles might appear an unlikely contestant for the show, but there's more than meets the eye with this 24-year-old, who loves wake boarding, surfing and skating.

The irony of living on a construction site is not lost on Knowles who recently commented via Instagram about how her life has changed since entering the comp. "Believe it or not, mornings at The Block don't start in hair & make up" she captioned on an Instagram post, while looking made up.

Although Knowles and her carpenter boyfriend Josh Barker are youngest contestants this season, they've already completed the renovation of their own home, making them more experienced than renovation rookies Hannah and Clint.

"Renovating on The Block is similar, but it's not our money. The 12-week thing is incredible, what the contestants get done is. I've never seen a job site like it," Barker tells 9Homes.

"We've done one renovation and it worked, so we'll be doing the same thing on The Block."

And as the promo above shows, this couple might look sweet but they’re in it to win.

The show’s 13th season is located on a block of land in Elsternwick, where five old houses have been moved in to be renovated by the contestants.
