The Block's Dylan and Jenny open up about moving into their dream home

The dust may have almost settled on The Block auctions for 2022, but there's still plenty of unanswered questions about what's happened with Dylan and Jenny's house.

House 4 was sensationally passed in after failing to attract a bid over their $4.08 million reserve.

In an exclusive interview with 9Entertainment, the pair revealed they're still eagerly awaiting a buyer to snap up their house, more than a month after the auctions took place. 

"We did have a few people keen a few weeks ago, but we've heard nothing since then," Jenny said.

"We're still in the same position as when we left The Block," Dylan added. 

Their five bedroom, three bathroom house sits on the largest piece of land The Block has ever tackled, and features spectacular views of the Macedon Ranges, a wood-fired hot tub, firepit, in-ground pool and a whopping 40-metre hallway. 

There's no doubt that the uncertainty around the sale has had an impact on the generally positive couple.

"Honestly it's crazy that it's still on the market. We just don't know whether we're going to make nothing, or if we could make $10,000 or $100,000," Jenny explained.

"We'll only know how we feel when it sells."

Dylan issued a plea to any interested buyers to go and have a look at the house for themselves. 

"You need to see how good it is. It's the biggest land The Block will ever do, and we finished it to perfection," he said. 

Despite being left in limbo, Dylan and Jenny have had plenty to keep themselves occupied back home on the Gold Coast.

Most recently the tradie couple put the finishing touches on their dream Palm Beach home. 

The five bed, three bath, Hamptons-style house has been more than a year in the making, and features six-metre high cathedral ceilings, an in-ground pool and deck out the back for entertaining.

The pair proudly shared a sneak peek on Instagram of their almost-finished home, including a massive hallway with sweeping views of the entertaining area, a twin-sink bathroom, and a sparkling-blue pool just in time for the scorching Gold Coast summer. 

"It's open-space living with six-metre high cathedral ceilings and exposed rafters – it's modern luxe," Jenny said.

Despite building two dream homes in the space of a year, the pair aren't slowing down – they're also planning on selling the house in the new year, and then they're getting married.

"We designed and built it as our dream home, but we'll be selling it in the new year. When we sell, we'll probably buy another piece of land, probably around Palm Beach again," Dylan said. 

"We're very busy next year. Next March we've got the wedding and we're keen to keep building sick homes," Jenny added.
