Couple build a tiny house made from a dumpster

One man’s trash, is another man’s… home.
Jamie and Brad Bigelow needed a little house to use as a holiday home at their friend’s ranch in Arizona, but they didn’t want to spend a lot of money. That’s when they decided to get really creative. Their solution was to buy an old dumpster for US$800 and transform it into a holiday home.
Brad is a general contractor, so was able to do all the work on the home with the help of his brothers and nephews.
They turned an actual dumpster into a 176-square-foot home for two, with a deck made from scaffolding plank they found in California. They have a wood-burning stove, a small generator to power the lights and they have access to an outhouse next door. The total cost of the project was US$13K.
We’ve seen some amazing transformations, but this is definitely the most incredible. You can check out the interiors of the unusual project on US Today or follow more of the couple's before and after transformations on their Instagram account.
