Celine Dion owns Las Vegas warehouse for her designer shoes

Forget your average shoe rack, Celine Dion has admitted to having a whole warehouse in Las Vegas specifically for her shoes.

The superstar, who has a residency at Las Vegas’ Caesar’s Palace, appeared on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segment last week and gave a little insight into her shoe obsession.  

When asked, Dion originally claimed to only have between three and five thousand pairs, before being prodded a bit further for the truth.

When Corden said that he had heard she owned, not five, but ten thousand pairs of shoes, the singer admitted that it was possible.

“Maybe. I didn’t want to say it,” Dion said.

So, the real question is: where does someone possibly keep ten thousand pairs of shoes?

“I have a place in Las Vegas… let’s call it a warehouse” Dion spills.

While having an entire warehouse just to store shoes would astound most people, Dion seems much less impressed with her current set up than the one she had at her home in Florida.

“I had a system, it was computerised and I would press and the door would open” she described her shoe contraption.

“I would press another button and they would turn.”

She explained that she could choose the colour of the shoe she wanted and see all the options she had at hand.

The shoes would then come out on a thick glass counter, filled with crushed diamonds – but don’t worry, it’s not as over-the-top as you think.

“Not real diamonds, just to make sure that you don’t think that I’m that loco” she explains.

In 2017, Dion spoke to WWD saying she struggles to throw anything away because every piece that she has bought has brought her to where she is now.

“They’re part of every step that I take and I have an attachment to it,” she told WWD.

But Dion didn’t have a choice in keeping all her shoes during Carpool Karaoke – Corden revealing they were going to give away some of her pairs to people along the Las Vegas strip.

After a bit of tug-o-war (and some yelling), a very reluctant Dion managed to give away a few pairs of shoes to lucky walkers-by in what seemed like a very difficult (and minimal) shoe cull.

While it all seemed to be in good fun, going by her reaction, it doesn't seem that Dion will be having a mass shoe clean-out any time soon.
