Buddy and Jesinta Franklin splash out on $60k lap pool for Sydney home

The 2017 AFL season is done and dusted, but the 2018 pre-season fitness planning is just getting started. For Sydney Swans favourite, Buddy Franklin, and his wife Jesinta, swimming is on the menu.
A development application outside the couple’s Rose Bay home shows plans for a $60,000 lap pool.
The Franklins already enjoy a backyard jet spa, but are adding an impressive $36,000 lap pool to the mix.

Plans with Woollahra Council show craning cost and excavation will cost $7,500, with decking, fencing and other development costs making the total estimate approximately $60,965.
So what does a $60,0000+ pool look like? A development application says the proposed pool will cover approximately 10.7sqm and have a capacity of approximately 11,800L. There will likely be a glass pool fence and will be framed with natural materials such as wood.
The couple bought their four-bedroom three-bathroom Rose Bay property in 2014 for $2.35 million.
Buddy and Jesinta married in November 2016 in an intimate, private ceremony and will celebrate their one-year anniversary later this year.
