Six of the best bathrooms ever seen on The Block

It's one of the most notoriously difficult weeks on The Block, but all the blood, sweat and waterproofing poured into a bathroom sure do make for some spectacular reveals.

From oversized egg tubs and smart toilets to pretty pink porcelain, we take a look at The Block bathrooms that wowed, then and now.

Josh and Elyse, Elsternwick, 2017

Elsternwick's youngest couple (and eventual winners) were kicking goals as soon as they stepped onto The Block, but Josh and Elyse really showed off their renovating prowess when they stunned the judges with a bathroom clad in concrete tiles and featuring a completely round bathtub.

Soaring ceilings added to the drama, and the circle motif of the bath was beautifully echoed by the mirror and vanity.

Ronnie and Georgia, Elsternwick, 2017

Proving great things come in small packages, love-them-or-leave-them Ronnie and Georgia presented a beautiful guest bedroom ensuite that not only had copious amounts of storage (big tick) but a to-die-for pink basin.

Judge Neale Whitaker said it best: "This oozes glamour, and that sink is probably one of the best I've ever seen."

They were so good we had to include them twice!

Last year's power couple presented an ensuite as big as a main bathroom. Clad in oversized slate tiles, the stunning room features a double vanity, double shower, deep tub, and even a state-of-the-art Roca In-Wash Inspira smart toilet from Reece. Oh, the luxury!

Dea and Daz, The Glasshouse, 2014

More than just a footballers wife, Dea was a powerhouse Block player to be reckoned with. Her styling brought a certain refinement to site, even if her screeching didn't (love you, Dea). Her contemporary take on a black and white bathroom – those tiles! – was a sophisticated reimagining of a classic style.

Kyal and Kara, Fans vs Faves, 2014

They started out as 'fans' but quickly gained enough renovation respect to become Block faves, not least of all because of their building chops and sunny dispositions.

The inclusion of a free standing egg-shaped tub in their main bathroom completely blew the judges away, and set a standard and style that is still echoed on The Block today.

Lovable reno rookies Chris and Jenna couldn't seem to catch a break. That is until they presented a knockout main bathroom that netted them the week's win with a perfect 30/30 score.

The eye-catching industrial pipe running the length of the shower, as well as the oversized tiles snaking up the enormous walls to the soaring ceiling, were two standout features of an unforgettable bathroom.
