Aldi is re-releasing cult $199 rocking chair and parents are bracing themselves

A gorgeous grey Aldi rocking chair that sent shoppers into a frenzy last year is being re-released next Wednesday, January 16.

Interested buyers will have to make sure they’re close to the front of the line if last year’s special drop was anything to go by.

The stylish chair – which retails at an affordable $199 – sold out in just one minute at the Chatswood, NSW Aldi store.

The re-release is already making waves online, with one Aldi fan page alerting followers to "prepare for mayhem."

The new release also promises an 'updated design' with 'luxuriously soft upholstery.'

Comments on the post confirm the rocking chair’s cult status with one saying, “[This is] way cheaper than most and super comfy!”

Another advised, “Get there an hour before and bring a buddy! It gets hectic.”

"I'm so glad we got this, I've spent hours in it every day & night," she continued.
