Ace Hotel opens in New Orleans

This week uber-cool brand Ace Hotel, best known for their lobby hangouts, opened the doors to their anticipated New Orleans property, just in time for the city's annual Jazz Festival.

This time the brand has put its new hotel in a 1928 art deco building, which was formally home to the headquarters of Scandinavian furniture importer Max Bennett Furniture Company.

New York architects Roman & Williams, who've worked on the interior of The Standard Hotel in New York and a residential project for Hollywood star Ben Stiller, redesigned the space into a 234-room hotel.
