Robby and Mat stage a cunning plan as they call the first body corporate of The Block 2025 – not everything was as it seemed

You know things are getting real of The Block when someone calls a body corp meeting.

Or in the case of 2025's first of the season, things are getting... sly.

Whether it's spying allegations or financial woes, a body corporate is the place for the Blockheads to hash it all out.

As Week 2 kicked off, Robby and Mat called the first meeting of Season 21... but all was not as it seemed.

From the moment they stepped on The Block, Adelaide best mates Robby and Mat wanted to differentiate their house from the others... with a secret, underground wine cellar.

Despite it being a very bold (and expensive) idea, as Week 2 got underway Robby and Mat had confirmation that it was not only possible, but would also be much cheaper than they expected as sponsors came onboard.

However, they wanted to keep their secret weapon secret and knew that digging a big hole in their backyard would raise suspicion.

So, it was body corp time!

"Last week our issues were having trades in other people's business, and I'll put my hand up straight away. A couple of my trades were floating around having a look," Robby began.

Of course, it was all a ploy and it worked a treat, as Sonny quickly agreed that this was an issue.

He suggested that trades and Blockheads should no longer go looking at other houses... playing right into Robby and Mat's hands.

"I wanted it to come from him, because what are we going to do?" Robby explained.

"Take over the Block," Mat replied.

The Block airs Sundays at 7pm and continues Monday to Wednesday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 7:00pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
