Former Blockhead Jesse is back to help sell Sarah and George's house

A familiar face has returned to The Block.

Jesse Raeburn, who competed on The Oslo season in 2019 with partner Mel, is back and this time it's as one of Sarah and George's real estate agents.

Since appearing on the renovation show he has been working for The Agency and was invited back by Domain as one of the agents to sell the homes this year.

"They chose who they believed to be the five best agents, so obviously I was in there. Of course, no doubt," he told 9Entertainment.

While Jesse may not be back to compete, he's back to sell the couple's 1940s-style house on auction day.

He admitted he is a big fan of the 'decades' twist, explaining that it makes the selling of the properties a lot different compared to last year.

"I find it really exciting because there's going to be something for everyone," he said.

"In previous years, like our year for example, where all the houses and facades were the same, it was difficult because they [potential buyers] were all floating.

"But this year's exciting because there will be buyers who specifically want an Edwardian style home, or the Art Deco 1940s, so that's exciting."

Jesse will be bringing his expertise not only as a real estate agent, but as a former contestant to help guide Sarah and George through the process of auctions and the show.

"I think having been a real estate agent previously as well as a contestant will be a huge help, and can help them navigate through the emotional roller coaster that The Block takes you on," he said.

"And often when selling The Block properties, they're a very long campaign, and it's often not until the last week or two that it really solidifies with who's in and who's out. Having that experience and knowing that it comes down to the last ten or so days is really helpful."

Jesse is not only working with Sarah and George to help sell their house, but also happens to be "in love" with it himself, saying that it is among some of the "best Block houses ever."

"The floor plans are fantastic, perfect for a family, and in Sarah and George's house everything ties in together, and there's a really nice flow," he said.

"They've got the proportion right, the two ground floor bedrooms are great, one really feels like a master, and the other perfect for an older student or a child going to school, you've got a full desk space where they can get their homework or University studies done."
