Tears flow as Jimmy and Tam reveal the Block 2020 auction order

Scott Cam, Shelley Craft and Domain's Managing Editor Alice Stolz met with the Blockheads ahead of their auctions to deliver an important piece of information: the reserve prices for the teams' houses.

They also were there to oversee Jimmy and Tam reveal the auction order, with the House 5 team having won the right to do after winning the Super Power Leader Board.

Sitting at different tables, the teams opened up a small black case to find out what their reserve was.

• Harry and Tash | House 1: $3.35 million
• Sarah and George | House 2: $3.35 million
• Daniel and Jade | House 3: $3.34 million
• Daniel and Jade | House 4: $3.35 million
• Jimmy and Tam | House 5: $3.29 million

Notably House 5 received a reserve slightly less than the other four. "Our house size is 50 square metres less than everybody else," said Tam.

"That's very high. I don't know how I feel about the reserves at the moment," said Sarah.

"We were expecting a lower reserve than what we got," said Harry.

It was then time for Jimmy and Tam to reveal the auction order.

"The strongest house and the most popular house with the emotional connection with the buyers to set the bar as high as we possibly can so when the buyers are looking or doing the auction for our houses that they know that that price is where these houses are going to be.

"So Luke and Jasmin will be going first, followed by us, we will be going second. From there we've got the middle of the pack and George and Sarah will be third, followed by Daniel and Jade, they will be fourth and as from the advice, our strongest competition because Harry and Tash and us are sharing a lot of interest across the board so we have been advised that they will be in fifth place," said Jimmy.

It was a difficult decision that left Jimmy and Tam, as well as Harry and Tash in tears.

Jasmin rushed over to Tam. "You did a great job. We are all friends. Nobody knows that more than us. Love you. We all love you. It's ok," she said.

"This auction is going to be unlike any other auction we've ever done on The Block," said Scott Cam, before he added that every team deserves to do well.
