Vanessa gets shut-down by husband’s ‘bestie’

Andy and Vanessa have been sailing smoothly throughout the experiment so it was only a matter of time until they hit rocky waters.

The tension came in the form of Andy’s best friend, Tomo, who from the moment he met Vanessa didn’t hold back what he was thinking.

Andy described Tomo as a “hard nut to crack” and he definitely lived up to his reputation.

“Who cleans?” Tomo fired at Vanessa.

“We both clean,” Andy quickly responded.

“That’s a lie, I know you do it. You cook and clean and she just sits there and reads her book and eats her dinner.”

Vanessa has never shied away from a chat, but the exchange left her completely lost for words.

“My first impressions with Vanessa is a little bit unsure to be honest,” he told the camera.  

 “She talks a lot, making it seem like she’s making an effort but in terms of asking who I am as Andrew’s best mates, no,” Thomo said, trailing off looking disgruntled.

“Definitely could not see Vanessa living on the Gold Coast and I’m just saying that because he’s my bestie and I bloody miss him.” 

At the suggestion Andy would move to Melbourne, Thomo just burst out laughing.
