Pack your bags, it's time for MAFS' Homestays Week, and we're off to far-flung places such as Adelaide, the Gold Coast and ... Cronulla.

This week the couples will spend time with family, imagine what their lives could look like in the future and most importantly, judge each other's homes.

They haven't even made it to Queensland, but there's already a lot of judgment happening between Gia and Scott.

She's still fuming that he "threw her under the bus" at the Commitment Ceremony, telling the experts that Gia's involvement in so much drama was taking a toll.

Funnily enough, her reluctance to listen to his concerns is taking an even bigger toll!

OK! Bags are packed, plans are made, and Danny's just accidentally compared Bec to a gorilla.

Let's get out of here.

Gia and Scott's Homestay

"Oh, it's a bit messy," Gia says upon entering Scott's frankly ginormous waterfront home with not one thing out of place.

She admits she's looking for a problem, and between the rug on a rug to his "ornamental" hookah pipes, she finds plenty.

Though to be fair, the two-person bath in the bedroom is a bit much!

ON EARTH? Nine

Scott finds her attitude off-putting, but he's still far too scared to tell her that directly.

Gia then discovers what she deems to be a suspicious item in Scott's wardrobe – his neck pillow.

It's her biggest issue so far – because it's pink.

It's 2026 and I think all men should be able to own salmon-coloured flight accessories. Nine

She cannot conceive how that means anything other than that he's had a woman, presumably with neck pain, over to stay.

Gia cannot see herself living here because this wardrobe is not big enough:

It's bigger than some Sydney apartments, Gia, check yourself! Nine

After a lengthy discussion about how many cushions a bed needs, Gia and Scott meet his friends for a day out on the water.

His besties Matt and Paige have not been impressed by Gia so far, and Gia's insistence that she'll be moving to Queensland immediately after the experiment does not help.

"I felt the pressure and I'm not even in the relationship," Matt says, with a sneaky suspicion that Scott will say he's feeling it too once they can get him away from her.

No one knows you like your besties, because they're 100 per cent right.

Paige says he needs to stop walking on eggshells and tell Gia how he's actually feeling.

He later gives that a try ... and it doesn't go well. Who could've seen that coming?

Gia cannot definitively answer whether she trusts him and defends her reaction to the neck pillow, so then he says the quiet part out loud: he's afraid to talk to her because she gets defensive and lashes out.

"OK, Scott, I didn't know you wanted to argue today," she replies.

It's soon clear her bad mood is (again) because he hasn't said he loves her.

"I'm falling for you every day, and I feel like we're on that path," he says.

"We've been on that path for a while," she replies.

This pressure is exactly what is holding him back, putting them right back where we started. Good chat!

Rachel and Steven's Homestay

Rachel and Steven are visiting Steven's parents' holiday home on the Central Coast, so Rachel can spend time with the entire family but most importantly, go fishing.

She's nervous because she hasn't been on a boat in over a decade. Besides that time she got married on one on national television.

She catches a fish and it's the sexiest thing Steven's ever seen.

At dinner with his family, they explain their post-experiment plan is already sorted.

They will do long distance for about six months, before Rachel moves north to Sydney because her work is more flexible than his.

She's fine with it, but Steven does feel guilty that she's the one making all the sacrifices.

Steven's family can see just far they've come since Family and Friends Week, and not just because Steven's no longer too nervous to touch her.

Hooray for physical touch. Nine

The good times keep rolling as Steven plans a romantic lunch and blurts out his feelings.

"I like where this relationship is going and I like you, and if it keeps going in the right direction, I can see myself falling in love with you one day," he says.

It gives Rachel all the reassurance she could hope for, so she's practically ready to call the moving van right now.

Stella and Filip's Homestay

After a long, arduous drive to the Shire, Stella and Filip meet Stella's besties Leila and Joe for lunch.

All these months later, Joe's still suss on his bestie's new YouTuber boyfriend.

Let the grilling begin! Nine

It doesn't take long for questions about Filip moving to Sydney to come up, which we know is the big "if" in their relationship.

But if Filip can commit to moving, Stella is 100 per cent sure of their future together.

Filip says he's 75 per cent certain and asks for more reassurance and patience, just like he's given her.

"You're putting yourself on the line, again, and again, and again," she says.

The next day, Stella is still overthinking his answer.

He explains he is 100 per cent committed, but 75 per cent sure of how all the logistical "nuts and bolts" will work.

From living arrangements to finding work in a new city, that's what brought the score down – nothing to do with her as a partner.

"You as a person, you're pretty much flawless," he says.

STOP IT. Nine

Our golden couple are officially back!

So, Homestays have brought us two big breakthroughs and one deeply frustrating circular argument.

Tomorrow night, there's "biological clock" talk, deeply, deeply awkward silence, a joke gone wrong and cows. Lots of cows.

See you then, as Homestay Week continues!
