Michelle and Jesse’s ill-fated romance

Michelle and Jesse's relationship was a struggle from the beginning. Despite a bit of chemistry on the honeymoons their relationship quickly fell into the friend zone, at least on Michelle's side.

The Wedding

Unlike her sister's instantaneous connection with her husband Nick, Michelle had doubts about Jesse from the moment she laid eyes on him. She mostly had doubts about his height. 

Michelle's anxieties seemed to ease by the end of their wedding night and it looked like these guys were going to make a pretty adorable couple.

The Honeymoon

On the honeymoon Michelle and Jesse opened up to each other emotionally, with both of them admitting to cheating in past relationships. 

Dating

The cracks in their relationship seemed to appear when the couple settled into domestic life. Michelle was underwhelmed by her dates with Jesse. 

It was around this time she seriously started to question whether to stay in the experiment. 

The Homestays

Jesse was becoming more and more invested in the relationship, even stripping down on national TV to get a spray tan because he knew it would make Michelle laugh. 

But Michelle's concerns only grew, particularly when she found out Jesse was still living with his mum.

Doubt settles in

Michelle's doubts only continued to grow, but she couldn't decide what to do. 

Jesse's last shot

Jesse put his heart on the line on their final date asking Michelle to take a leap of faith with him and open her heart to him. 

The final vows

We all saw the look on Michelle's face when she walked up to Jesse on the beach. The look was obvious, she was going to end their relationship.
