Men and women are hardwired to react to conflict differently

Married at First Sight expert Trisha Stratford has explained why men and women react to conflict differently.

She says that the reason men and women often struggle to resolve their conflict is because we’re hardwired to treat conflict in opposing ways.

“The brain makes it very difficult for us because men and women activate different parts of the brain so when there’s a conflict going on men want to get the gist of what’s happening but then they withdraw,” Stratford explained.

“The part of the brain that women activate is that we want to know everything that’s going on and we want to fix it. So women are madly trying to fix it and men are madly trying to withdraw.”
