That look

It’s a mix of nerves, excitement, anticipation and let’s be honest, a big dollop of relief some of the times, especially when they see all those same feelings reflected right back at them.
The spark finally igniting
There’s something super gratifying about seeing a couple unimpressed with each other, questioning exactly what the experts were thinking, and then a few weeks in having a moment of absolute clarity when something happens to make it all click into place.
The turn of the card
Yelling at the screen when someone spins that card around and reveals a “Stay” when we were absolutely convinced it would be a “Leave” is the stuff that we live for.

Nobody can do facial expressions quite like Mel Schilling can. Watching her watching them, whether at a Dinner Party, or a Commitment Ceremony, is truly magical. It’s also kind of refreshing to realise that nine times out of ten, she’s thinking exactly what we’re thinking.

Getting to say “MAFS”
Just rolling the old “MAFS” out like we’re full locals when it comes to our favourite gives us a buzz. If you’re a MAFSter, you get it. You’re not saying the full “Married at First Sight” because there’s no time for that when there’s love and lust to talk about.
When you bust out, “Have you been watching MAFS?” in the office and someone else instantly gets it – because they too have been watching MAFS and they also call it MAFS, you know you have an immediate kindred spirit for the upcoming weeks. With them you can debate the many dramas and disasters with… and well, that’s just the start of a beautiful friendship. MAFSters unite!
