MAFS' Melissa Rawson hits back at plastic surgery rumours
Melissa Rawson is no stranger to being at the centre of national controversy, and now the former MAFS bride has hit back at critics who have been spreading rumours about her.

Speaking on her podcast What Happens After, which she hosts with her partner and MAFS hubby Bryce Ruthven, Melissa explained how she got a scar that is slightly visible on one of cheeks, denying suggestions it was the result of plastic surgery.

"My cheek. I did not have filler, I have not had plastic surgery. It's not plastic surgery gone wrong. So if you've said that, you're a piece of crap," she said on the podcast.

Melissa said she tore the ligaments and muscle in her left cheek in an accident when she was only a baby.

"I was running and fell and smashed my face on a glass coffee table, and all of the ligaments and muscle in my cheek actually died," she said.

"That's why I have a bigger dimple on one side and my face is not symmetrical. A woman's face does not need to be symmetrical. Just putting it out there," she added, as she and Ruthven laughed.
The explanation comes after the couple found themselves once again defending their relationship to the Australian public. Ruthven posted to Instagram to celebrate their eight-month anniversary, saying they were "stronger than ever."
The image posted by the former radio announcer shows Melissa posing playfully next to him in bed as he shows off his new pearly whites, a recent development gifted by celebrity orthodontist Dr. Dee, who has also given MAFS alum Joanne Todd a brand new smile.
The couple's friend and MAFS co-star Jason Engler commented on the post, writing, "I want what they have!!", and other followers also showed their support for the happy couple.
"I love this. I love that you both stood solid in your values & beliefs and are shining brighter than ever together side by side," another commenter wrote on the post.
