Heartfelt reason behind MAFS' Melissa Rawson and Bryce Ruthven's family day out as they honour cause close to them
There was a very special reason for Married At First Sight's Melissa Rawson and Bryce Ruthven's family day out at the footy with sons Levi and Tate.
On May 4, the couple and their three-year-old twins attended a Brisbane Lions AFL match as guests of Hyundai Help for Kids and the Miracle Babies Foundation.
Liss and Bryce are helping to raise money for the Miracle Babies Foundation, a cause close to their hearts after their own sons were born 10 weeks prematurely in 2021.

"This is how you watch an @afl Q Clash," Bryce shared following the game alongside photos of him and his family enjoying the game.
"Thank you to @hyundaihelpforkids & the @brisbanelions for hosting our family and the crew from @miraclebabiesfoundation."

Bryce also gave a shoutout to injured Lions player Lincoln McCarthy, "for signing the boys' footys and burning off some of that sugar hit!"
Liss and Bryce have been ambassadors for Miracle Babies since 2022, following the premature births of Levi and Tate at 29 weeks in October 2021.
The twins spent 54 days in NICU before being able to go home with their parents.

"Having premature babies was a traumatic experience moreso after the birth, than the actual birth itself," Liss wrote while recounting her birth story on her blog Her Second Shift in 2023.
"I could not be more grateful to the hospital staff from both Frankston and Mercy who helped deliver and care for my boys when I couldn't."

On Tuesday May 6, Miracle Babies will attempt to raise $200,000 in just 24 hours, with Hyundai joining forces for the 'quadruple giving day'.
This means every $1 donated on the day will become $4, with money going to supporting families through having a baby born requiring specialised care.
