Hot and cold: Ning and Mark's Married At First Sight journey

Devastating ending to contentious couple, as Mark rejects Ning after she finally accepts she is worthy and wanting of his love.

It’s fair to say Ning and Mark had one of the most awkward weddings on Married at First Sight.

Things didn’t improve on the honeymoon – as this awkward pool pash proved.

The pair just couldn’t get on the same page and a workout session ended in a heated argument.

Frustrated, Ning wrote that she wanted to Leave the experiment.

That was enough to turn Mark’s attitude around and the pair dramatically started to improve as a couple following a trip to the Gold Coast.

Ning finally confessed to “having the feels”…

But a passionate makeout session ended abruptly, when Ning took a phone call mid-smooch. Mark ended up with a bowl of cereal and a cold shower instead.

Just as they seemed to be connecting, a cruel taunt from Jess sent Ning into a spiral…

…And a meal and catch up with friends made them both wonder if they were truly meant to be.

Even a romance drenched night in a secluded treehouse couldn’t help the pair forge a more intimate connection.

But when it came time to return home alone, Ning finally realised just how much Mark meant to her. The same effect hadn’t worked on Mark, who realised the two weren’t meant to be. He chose not to continue the relationship, crushing Ning in a heartbreaking final vow ceremony that saw the fractious pair finally break.
