Exclusive: David refuses to say sorry for savage Final Vow snub as Alissa demands apology: 'Begging like a dog'
EXCLUSIVE: David is making absolutely no apologies for refusing to listen to Alissa's Final Vows, in what was possibly the most dramatic MAFS split of the season.
"I'm not gonna lie, it felt good to walk away without like listening to Alissa ramble on for five more minutes of my life," David told nine.com.au.

David didn't even stay long enough to listen to Alissa's vows. Nine
David felt like he spent the last week of their relationship "begging like a dog for crumbs" from Alissa, and that because he said 'I love you', Alissa thought the ball was in her court.
"I think she got a big head. She probably thought 'Oh this guys is so obsessed with me' but it wasn't like that," he said.
David said his "mic-drop moment" wasn't planned.
"It's just something that in the moment felt right for me."

Alissa and David's final vows
Was David curious to hear what Alissa was going to say in her Final Vows? The short answer is no.
"I never even cared what Alissa's Final Vows were and I still don't," he took a brutal swipe.
"I didn't need another explanation. I didn't need to hear vows that meant nothing to me because at the end of the day, you can talk all you want but your behaviour showed exactly what you thought about me and the experiment."

Unsurprisingly, Alissa felt "very disrespected" by David after he snubbed her Final Vows.
To this day, she still doesn't entirely understand why he stood her up in that moment.
"I don't know if that was an ego thing for him because at the time I'd checked out at the Final Dinner Party. But I was very disappointed, because I would have thought we would have ended on better terms," she told nine.com.au.
David felt like Alissa was probably comfortable that the ball was in her court. How wrong she was. Nine
Alissa had hoped to "honour the relationship for the good times".
"I just wanted to end it on 'David, I love you for who you are but not for me.' I felt like that was respecting what we had build together."

She put their relationship failure down to a "breakdown of bad communication towards the end".
Considering they'd been one of the strongest couple up until the last two weeks of the experiment, Alissa felt "sad" she and David didn't resolve their issues.

Post-split, Alissa and David described their relationship as "amicable", but Alissa still wants an apology from David for walking off at Final Vows.
"He doesn't think he's in the wrong, whereas I apologise for being abrasive at times and being direct at times towards the end of our relationship."
"I'm still proud of our journey, and I'm still proud of everything we achieved. It is a shame."
