The couples have decided whether to take their connections out of the experiment and into the real world, or leave their match behind for good.

Here's every choice made by the remaining couples and the current status of their relationships.

Rachel and Steven - broken up

It breaks our hearts to say, but Rachel and Steven called it quits just a few weeks after Final Vows.

They confirmed the news at the Reunion Dinner Party. Neither wanted to be broken up, they both still cared for each other and Steven put his wedding ring back on.

We were more confused than ever, but Steven felt long distance, his business and busy life in Sydney made things too hard, while Rachel didn't feel prioritised.

Speaking to nine.com.au, they both wondered if things could be different.

They'd been our slow burn, early in the experiment Steven rejected Rachel's Intimacy Week ask for a simple kiss and during the Retreat, their sex life became the talk of the town thanks to Bec's crude joke.

But by Homestays, Rachel and Steven had found both a physical and emotional connection.

They headed into Final Vows the strongest they've ever been. But their decision did not come without fears.

Rachel feared Steven would settle back into his Sydney life without her, while Steven worried he wouldn't be able to meet Rachel's expectations in the real world.

It was an awful foreshadowing of what was to come for the pair.

Stella and Filip – engaged

From the very first moment, sparks flew for Stella and Filip – and lucky for us, they turned into full blown fireworks as the experiment continued.

It's the love story of the season, complete with mutual L-bombs and a fully formed plan to move in together as soon as filming ends.

The couple overcame Stella's abandonment issues and Filip's worries about packing up his entire life to relocate to be the strongest they've ever been on their final date.

To prove it, Stella gifted Filip a house key!

"I know 100 per cent that she's locked in," Filip reacted.

"That's exactly what I needed to see at this point in the experiment to feel like I can move everything over and make the move."

Season 13's biggest love story. Nine

Stella had no doubt in her mind that they were going to make it.

"We are it, we're going the distance," she said.

And she was right! During Final Vows, Stella knew more than ever that Filip was her soulmate.

Filip said in return: "I have never wanted to move somewhere for someone, but now I realise home is simply wherever you are.

In a shocking Final Vows twist, Filip got down on one knee and proposed, for real!

Alissa and David – broken up

Alissa and David's relationship got off to a controversial start when she refused to marry him at the end of the aisle.

"I don't think I can marry you ... not until you get on one knee and propose to me first," she said.

At the time, David saw that as a red flag but as the experiment continued, their relationship bloomed.

However, the issue of it being Alissa's way or the highway came back in the final weeks of the experiment.

During Homestays, Alissa backtracked on a plan for both her and David to move to Sydney post-experiment, deciding he would have to move to her hometown of Adelaide.

He aired his concerns about not feeling heard in their relationship at the final Commitment Ceremony, which Alissa said had "blindsided" her.

Then just days before Final Vows, an argument following the Final Test resulted in both Alissa and David taking off their wedding rings.

David became frustrated with Alissa's dismissive reaction to his feelings after he expressed concerns over her behaviour with her alternative match.

"I'm done, I deserve more than that. I'm not going to Final Vows," David said, storming out of their room.

But it wasn't completely over.

Both rocked up to the Final Dinner Party separately but David put everything on the line, getting down on one knee (not to propose) but to put Alissa's wedding ring on, apologise for taking his off, tell her he loved her and win her back!

So how did Alissa feel about David's romantic gesture? Well, not good.

She snapped at him saying it's "too late, doll". Alissa simply didn't understand David's change of heart and was more confused than ever.

At Final Vows Alissa feared she would be breaking David's heart, until he pulled the rug out from under her.

David expressed there was no version of him that could win in this relationship. He'd spent their entire relationship listening to her, and he was done for good.

"I'm walking away because loving you shouldn't mean losing myself," he said as he literally walked away before Alissa even had the chance to start her final vows.

"I just wasted three months of my life and now he won't even listen to me," Alissa reacted.

She read out her own vows, but no one stood before her.

Bec and Danny – broken up

Talk about a rollercoaster relationship, but they did make it to Final Vows.

So far, Bec and Danny have overcome a lack of sexual chemistry, Bec getting caught up in all the drama, being practically exiled at the Retreat over Bec's crude speech and many other, as Bec would say, "ding dongs".

At the final Commitment Ceremony, Bec said she worried that Danny just wasn't that into her so the final week of the experiment was supposed to be all about him proving that wasn't the case.

Instead, Bec reigniting a friendship with Gia and the Final Test threw a spanner in the works!

Danny was upset with Bec taking Gia's date's phone number on her behalf, saying it "encouraged cheating" and thought her vulgar remarks at the lunch were out of line.

Meanwhile, Bec had issues with Danny's actions too but chose not to share them to keep the peace.

But after all their ups and downs, Bec still loved Danny ahead of Final Vows and was convinced he loved her too.

When the time came, Bec promised to choose him everyday because, "simply put, I love you".

When Danny began his vows, very nervously, he remembered their struggles, their clashing fight styles and the drama that came with their relationship.

Then came the penny drop.

"Bec, I believe you are my soulmate as a friend," said David. "But I've come to realise there's doubt in my mind if you are my soulmate as a lover."

David said he wanted to bring children in the world, but only from a healthy and stable relationship.

He apologised and expected an outburst but Bec simply walked away.

Bec felt blindsided, Danny was shocked she handled it so well and said if she had behaved that way throughout the experiment, he would have stayed.

Gia and Scott – broken up

It was a long way to fall for the former, self-described "power couple", when a disagreement over leaving the experiment ended in a break-up.

Gia and Scott had a very rough final few weeks of the experiment, which all culminated in a break-up following the Final Test.

Gia wanted to leave the experiment early, and while Scott initially agreed, he changed his mind and she left on her own.

Gia returned to the final Dinner Party with the intention of repairing the relationship, but it was too late.

After watching footage of Gia flirt with her alternative match, and learning that she lied about going home to Melbourne but was actually in Sydney the entire time, too much had happened for him to forgive.

"I just feel I've been lied to. I've seen too much, I can't do this anymore," he said.

They hugged it out before parting ways for good, with Scott admitting he felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.

It was a heartbreaking moment, but one viewers had an inkling was coming as Gia has already gone public with her new boyfriend Alan Wallace.
