MAFS' Elizabeth Sobinoff confirms she's expecting her first child with Alex Vega four months after tying the knot

Married At First Sight star Elizabeth Sobinoff has some huge news to celebrate – she's expecting her first child!

The reality star confirmed her pregnancy on Instagram on Sunday, where she spoke out about some negative speculation that had occurred over the past few weeks.

"Looking at some of these comments in the last few posts I've done..." she began. "Always so much focus on a woman's body (I've had more than my fair share).

"I'm navigating my body right now, so many changes, especially internally (I've been pretty sick). I also understand so many people are excited. So am I!!!!

"It's an exciting time in our (my partner) lives right now. I'll talk about my experience with it in the future. Mama bear is just nesting right now."

Fans and friends were quick to comment on the announcement, with MAFS star Sarah Roza writing: "Ohhhh my goodness!!! YAY!!! Congratulations my beautiful friend… such fabulous news! You are going to be a wonderful mother xx."

TV star Jackie Gillies added: "Congratulations 🥳 sending you all blessings."

One fan added: "I was beginning to get super frustrated seeing people jumping to conclusions in your comments sections lately 😅 this is the time you'll see how truly remarkable our bodies are! Congratulations ❤️ you're always stunning but you've got even more of a glow now 😍."

Lizzie has always been open and honest about her health struggles in the past.

She was diagnosed with "endometriosis, ovarian cysts and bowel adhesions" in February 2021 after months of trying to figure out what was wrong.

Lizzie has since been online regularly to raise awareness about the condition.

The MAFS star married her partner Alexander Vega earlier this year, confirming the news in January.

Lizzie and Alex celebrated the nuptials at a stunning beachside location, surrounded by family and friends.

"Some moments from the happiest day of my life," she captioned a series of posts on Instagram.

Lizzie went public with her relationship with Alex just months earlier in April 2022 after months of keeping their romance private.

"As a whole, I'm incredibly private, I did reality TV a lifetime ago. I'm so protective over my partner and there are so many negative, gossiping people out there, that go out of their way to talk trash," she wrote on Instagram at the time.

Lizzie first appeared on MAFS in Season 6 where she was matched with Sam Ball.

Things started off rocky between the pair, with Sam body shaming her on their wedding day. It only got worse when he pursued a relationship with fellow bride Ines Basic.

Lizzie returned to the experiment in 2020 for Season 7, where she walked down the aisle again to be matched with Seb Guilhaus.

The couple continued their relationship outside of the experiment but split after a year.

It seems like third time really is a charm and we wish Lizzie and Alex all the best for their new life together as husband and wife!
