MAFS's Duncan James makes very expensive error while celebrating girlfriend Evelyn Ellis' birthday
Married At First Sight's Duncan James surprised girlfriend Evelyn Ellis with quite the extravagant birthday gift this week.
That is, until she noticed the hilarious error he made.

In a candid video shared to Instagram, Evelyn, 29, was looking very excited to unwrap her present from Duncan, 39.
The star jumped when she noticed a trademark red Cartier box in his hands – a gift which can cost in the thousands.
"Is that Cartier? Is this not what I think it is?!" she squealed as he handed her the box from the designer jeweller.
"There were two others that I liked..." Duncan explained.
But when Evelyn unveiled her new necklace from Duncan, she spotted an awkward surprise.
The Cartier necklace was exactly the same as the one she already owned – and the one she happened to be wearing at the time!
"Bubby, I already own this one," she smiled slightly confused.

The two couldn't help but laugh about the mix up which they later shared on Instagram.
"HAHAHAHAHAH, @duncan_james said it was calling him," Evelyn wrote about the necklace and we can now see why!
"I'm an idiot," Duncan laughed.
The former groom at least made it up to Evelyn with a sweet birthday message for the star.

"Happy birthday my love ❤️," Duncan wrote alongside a series of sweet photos of the pair.

Friends and co-stars rushed to the comments to wish Evelyn a birthday.
"So much love for you two 😍❤️," wrote co-star Sandy Jawanda.
"Omg that second photo is amazing 🦋🤗," said one fan about the below photo.
Duncan posted a special birthday message for Evelyn. Instagram
"She looked like a princess," Duncan replied.
While one fan wrote what we were all thinking: "We need a part 2 on this necklace debacle 😂😂😂."
It was quite the debacle indeed!
