MAFS' Ashley Irvin reveals heartbreaking reason behind surprise wedding to partner Choco O'Dwyer
Married At First Sight's Ashley Irvin has married her long-time partner Choco O'Dwyer.
Their surprise nuptials come one month after their engagement in February 2025. But there was a heartbreaking reason why, the bride later revealed.

Unveiling the big news with her 123,000 followers, Ashley, 36, revealed she tied the knot with a beautiful countryside ceremony along the Murray River, in Moama NSW.
"How come you got married so soon after engagement?" one curious fan asked.
Ashley took the time to reply: "Because my dad is declining and we needed to plan the wedding before the engagement so he could be there and walk me down the aisle ❤️."

Ashley was positively glowing on her wedding day, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
The bride opted for a gorgeous V-neck gown adorned with a sheer bust and delicate floral details.
While Choco couldn't stop grinning, wearing a navy blue suit to complement the theme of the venue.
"Mr & Mrs O'Dwyer. 15 March 2025," Ashley captioned the stunning snaps from the day.
The magical ceremony was followed by a fun-filled reception complete with a DJ, dance floor and a three-tier wedding cake decorated with vibrant blue ribbon and roses.

The two looked absolutely smitten as they raised a glass and said their speeches.
It wasn't long before the congratulatory messages started rolling in for the newly-wed couple.
"Ohhh my goodness! 😍👰🏼♀️🤵🏼♂️The BIGGEST CONGRATULATIONS to you both! 💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝," commented fellow MAFS bride Sarah Roza.
"What a perfect day!!! You two are magic 😍 couldn't be happier you found your person!" seconded Season 5 bride Charlene Perera.

The couple announced their engagement in February 2025.
In a sweet Valentines Day proposal, Choco popped the question to Ashley during a romantic hike to Minyon Waterfalls, New South Wales.

Ashley posted a picture of herself sat at a picnic by the waterfall flashing her sparkling engagement ring.
"Best Valentines Day Ever 😍 I said Yes 💍@choc__odwyer," she captioned the post.

Ashley and Choco first made their relationship public in April 2023 and have been busy travelling the world together.

Ashley appeared on Season 5 of MAFS in 2018. Then, she married enthusiastic teeth-brusher Troy Delmege.
Things didn't work out between the pair and Ashley was shocked at the Reunion when Troy arrived with another bride Carly Bowyer, but they split after nine months together.
Married At First Sight airs Sunday at 7pm and Monday to Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
