EXCLUSIVE: MAFS' Bec revealed she's not the only one to blame for the awful text messages sent about Alissa and David.

While Bec "takes full responsibility" for her part in the texts exchanged between her and Gia, she told nine.com.au they were only exposed because brides Gia, Juliette, Rebecca and Mel orchestrated a plan to "bring [her] down" at a secret lunch.

Bec said a secret lunch between the other brides put her at the centre of the text message scandal.  Nine

"What's happened is Gia sat at a lunch with Juliette, Rebecca, and Mel. Rebecca told me that they were sitting there," Bec began.

"Gia and Juliette were going through her phone for half an hour trying to find another message to bring me down. So it was a calculated and premeditated attack, right?"

According to Bec, Rebecca was the one who told her about the lunch with Gia, Juliette and Mel.  Nine

Bec said she could easily take the focus off her by releasing the equally vile messages Gia sent but hasn't "in the interest of not hurting Alissa further".

"I'm not going to because I'm not going to stoop to that level."

"Gia is obsessed with me. All she does is talk about me and my husband, right? She's more focused on me and my husband than she is on her relationship.

"What she's doing is she's trying to bring me down by way of Alissa, because Gia can't stand the fact that these girls are seeing the good in me and seeing that I'm trying to better myself and not make the same mistakes over again."

Bec was caught red-handed in Monday night's episode when she met up with David for Feedback Week.

The co-stars were supposed to be giving each other pointers on their relationships but instead Bec used their meeting as an opportunity to defend herself.

Unbeknownst to Bec, David and Alissa had already seen exactly what was written in the text messages.
